James 4-5
Living Authentic Faith, pt.4
The results and responsibilities
of drawing near to God
James is a guide to moving beyond professions of faith to a life of tangible authentic Christian action and integrity.
Calling for a transformed life that shows consistency between belief and behavior, focusing on enduring trials, seeking wisdom, controlling speech, caring for the needy, and living humbly, this is an Active and Living Faith.
Authentic Faith is to "practice what you preach."
Living Genuine Faith that isn't just hearing the Word of God, but actively doing it, making authenticity real and tangible in every part of your daily life; in thought, word and deed.
The eight step solution for the Lords, empowering presence.
Submit to God
Resist the devil
Draw drawn near to God
Cleanse your hands
Purify your hearts
Be miserable and mourn and weep
Let your laughter be turned to morning your joy to gloom
Humble yourself before the Lord
And He will exalt (lift you) up

Not my own!
Spurgeon’s Two great certainty about things that shall come to pass:
#1 God knows
#2 We don’t
Do what you know
Continue to learn what you don’t.
The Lord is more interested in our actions not just our Amen!
Amen is “so be it”
Action is “I will be it” (as you, Lord direct) put me in Coach!
James makes it clear that ‘to know it’ means we are accountable to do it.
Actions move in what we believe, lips move and what we want people to know we believe. Which is louder, deeper, impactful?
