Hebrews 11
Faith’s motivation, and challenge:
Hebrews 12:1-
Faith: Living in the Promises as if they are already received.
Exercising Faith in God while persevering in trials, testings, persecutions or difficulties and teatings.
The Hall of Faith
Ordinary people, trusting and extraordinary God
Trusting God in the no matter what!
Trusting in the character and the nature of God,
not in the results of what He can do.
Trusting in Him. Confident in Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:18
Fix your eyes on what is unseen, for what is seen is temporal, what is unseen as eternal
Our faith starts with Belief that God exists, we believe that He spoke things into existence by things that were unseen.
Faith is seeing with spiritual eyes
remember the Song “Open the ? of my ? Lord.”
As a way of reminder:
Faith is action;

Noah built
Abraham went

Knowledgeable of the first sacrifice that covered sins result
The covering with animal skin infers blood sacrifice.

How we approach the Lord
Means and method
Not my way, but YHWH
Why was the sacrifice better?
Because it was God’s way
Cain approached in his own effort, his own way.
Remember King Saul circumvented protocols at a great cost.
We cannot approach God on our good efforts, even if it’s our first fruits of labor. We cannot approach God through our labor.
We approach God through His designed methods.
Not works!
Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord.
As has been said,
“The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
The proof: Out of the mouth, the heart speaks
Genesis 4
Anger, bitterness, jealousy
First murder of the Bible
Abel is the first of the Hall of Faith heroes.
He honored God, and sought God God‘s way.

Pleased God
Name meaning: Dedicated
Interestingly, he lived to 365 years but walked with God 300 years
That must’ve pleased God
Did not experience physical death.
Was taken, caught up with God.
Pay attention to hebrews 1:6, it comes on the heels of verse five.
Faith believes God, not merely in God, but believes God,
God rewards those who earnestly seek Him=action,
Believing Ac
Placing your trust in faith in Him
Rewards those who do.
He desires to reward, He is the Rewarder
