“Faith and Perseverance”
Faith: the assurance in God’s future promises, an assurance that enables one to persevere (Heb.10:32-39). Perseverance (endurance) demonstrates faith.

The just shall live by faith (Hab.2:4)

Faith saves the soul. Saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Eph.2:8-9. We live & walk by faith, not by feelings and emotions.

How Do We Live By Faith? Commit your life & problems to God; Deny self; Act committed to God; Ask for God’s grace & strength; Perseverance demonstrates faith

Three General Aspects Of Faith: Faith is something we all have (Rom.12:3); Faith is given to us (Rom.12:3, Eph.2:8); Faith is not a quantity. Our faith is only as great as the object in which we place our faith.

Faith Explained (Heb.11:1-3): A Substance (Heb.11:1a); An Evidence (Heb.11:1b); Has A Testimony (Heb.11:2); Believes In Creation (Heb.11:3)(Gen.1:1—bara; Ex Nihilo)

Summary Of Faith: Living, active; Perseverance/Endurance; Hab.2:4; Unquestionable, unwavering belief; Is given; A substance; An evidence; A testimony; A belief in creation (Ex Nihilo).

Faith Is NOT: I think so, I hope so, it might be so, it might be true, etc.

Oswald Chambers: “Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One Who is leading.”

Examples Of Faith (Heb.11:4-7): Abel Offered by Faith (Heb.11:4); Enoch Walked by Faith (Heb.11:5-6); Noah Obeyed by Faith (Heb.11:7)

Faith honors God, and God honors Faith.

Heb.11:6—Diligently Seek Jesus. Enoch as an example.
