Hebrews 11-12
Eligible for Enlistment: THEREFORE…..
Faith is: Living in the Promises of God
as if they are already received.
Walking in and by Faith in God while persevering in trials, persecutions, difficulties and testings.
Faith is: the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen
Recap: Faith acts out of bold confidence and is backed up by the power of the unseen. Faith is God using the ordinary to do the extraordinary. Faith is needed in all situations. Faith is fueled by God‘s power, promises and His Word.

What faith teaches and reveals:
Heb. 11:13-16
Faith is for a lifetime
You can still be assured, even though you don’t receive
Having a glimpse (looking through glass, dimly) is enough to embrace and confess that we are strangers and pilgrims on this earth
Reveals are true seeking, our Homeland in Heaven
It strengthens us to desire better, namely, our Heavenly Country, our eternal citizenship
Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called our God
God is NOT ashamed!!! Think of it!!! What a wonderful thought.
We easily wrap our head around the idea that we should not be ashamed of God, or the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or the Bible.
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
In this case, we read clearly that God is not ashamed to be called their God because of something, simultaneously, unpacking this thought to a reasonable conclusion reveals that God could be ashamed of being called their God because something.
Gen. 6:6
And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
Listen: Having faith in the promises of God, through the Word of God, because of the saving grace of God and having salvation, through the Lord Jesus Christ and being assured, and embracing the hope that we have in Christ for our Heavenly Citizenship and not being ashamed of the Gospel results in God not being ashamed to be called our God!
