Grace and Law

Why did God give the Law? Gal.3:24. To show our need for Christ and His righteousness.
Gal.4:1-20. Paul uses a Legal Argument (Gal.4:1-11) and a Personal Argument (Gal.4:12-20) to show that Grace is better than the Law. He uses Symbolism (Gal.4:21-34) to point out that Grace is above the Law & superior to the Law.
Contrasting Arguments In Paul’s Legal Argument: A Son & A Slave (Gal.4:1-7), Liberty & Bondage (Gal.4:8-11).
First—Contrast Between A Son & Slave (v.1-7): we see An Illustration (v.1-2), An Application (v.3-5), Our Inheritance (v.6-7).
Second—Contrast Between Liberty & Bondage (v.8-11): we see The Facts Paul States (v.8-10). The Fears Paul Has (v.11).
